Living my life my way

Not wishy washy but real and definitely not the next one hit wonder song. My life My Way is me saying sayonara, arrividerci, good-bye to my old working life and opening the door to the possibility I can live my life my way while pursuing my dream of becoming a self published author.

Sounds simple huh? Well, so far it’s been a hair-raising-white-knuckle roller coaster ride,  and, I love it! I wouldn’t trade places for the world. With bucket loads of self determination, focus, commitment, passion, friends & family and a true desire to kick any shady whiny thoughts of ‘I want to go shopping, I can’t do this anymore’ to the curb I’m getting there bit by bit, day by day. Slowly but surely.

This blog is a way of keeping me honest while I do the hard yards required to live my life my way and not run away to hide every time it gets too darn hard. Hopefully you’ll be inspired along the way.

Follow my ups and downs as I peel back the layers of what it takes to make the most out of our every day and visualizing dreams into reality. No matter how big or small taking the first step to live the rest of your life is well, the first step.

OK so walking down the aisle with Bill Rancic (sorry George I’ve moved on) or changing the weather to suit your outfit just isn’t going to happen but living your life with more oomph and perhaps even as you imagined it can most definitely happen.

It’s a big call but hey, we’re only blessed with one life so why not make the most of it. Every single day.

Relationships, love, work, challenges and trying to sort the clutter to reach clarity is like peeling the layers of an onion. You’ll cry, you’ll laugh and be nourished. That’s what I’m going to do peel back the layers of what needs to be done to live your life your way.

Now, I’m no guru rather I’ve learned a bunch through my own personal and work journey. I’ve had extraordinary opportunities, lived in amazing places, met wonderful creative people, had loads of fun then had my heart stomped on at least a hundred times, gained a cat yet lost my beautiful Dad.

Right now I’m navigating my way through the e-book publishing world, while writing Love in the Vines a romance feast of food, wine, love and betrayal while donating my time to help Minnie Moo, my cat write his adventure tails. I’m blessed also to help share the load of a loved one coming to terms with the shattering realization marriage and all its 28 years may not come with it’s promised happy ending.

Today I’m going to be the best person I can be….always with love and gratitude
