Motivational Monday. Become Your Character.

red curtainI love this quote from Franco Dragone
Whether you are tripping the lights fantastic, busking on a busy street, working in an office, or plugging away writing your next book…at times we all leave ourselves behind, and step into character.
It’s fun, and sets the imagination on fire. Sure beats the mundane, and ordinary.
Obviously if you are writing about a defiant horrible criminal…please leave that to the imagination, and forgo stepping into character.
I’m sure you know what I mean.
Wishing you all a fab week.

A Sunday Morning Run Kiwi Style

sunday morning runningFor all of you spending a Sunday morning tucked under a blanket of snow…this morning as I ran under a blue sky wonder, the ocean breeze cooled the warmth of the sun.
Sure there was some sweat, or do I glow? But, the breathtaking views along my 11km run screamed, “oh WOW look at me.”
See Linda Evangelista – the beauty of life is worth getting out of bed for…. ok I’ve got to be honest, a whopping $10,000 bucks would do it too.
Enjoy your Sunday. Bon Domenica.

Minnie Moo. Scaredy or Scary Cat?

Happy Halloween! My cat, Minnie Moo. The eyes are his. Really? Nope 🙂

Writing Inspiring Chapter Hooks.

In my last blog “The Power of Sharing Knowledge”I wrote about how much fun I had writing the chapters for my e-book, Minnie Moo The Extraordinary Adventures of an Ordinary Cat.

Having cottoned on that these Chapter Hooks can easily multi-task from dividing your writing to parading as publicity hooks I got busy. By using 120 characters your chapters can be used to capture the media, both regular and social, in a short, sweet, sharp and sure way.

I think that’s genius and too good not too share.

Getting down to the business of writing my chapters I scribbled down a creative brief and decided mine had to tick 3 boxes: 1.  Be Inspirational | 2.  Be Fun  | 3: Be true to Minnie Moo. After numerous versions I finally whittled it down to eleven chapters of bite size inspiring fun little Minnie Moo’ism’s that I imagined Minnie Moo might say or at least think…..they need no introduction, but if you get stuck feel free to send me a note. Enjoy!

Now, put your paws together for the 11 Chapters crafted for Minnie Moo The Extraordinary Adventures of an Ordinary Cat

CHAPTER 1:
Don’t judge a cat by its coat.

CHAPTER 2:
Clear clutter. Make space for you.

Chapter 3:

Chapter 5:

Hug your family tree.
