“Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.” – Bill Cosby
For the last few months, I’ve been head down working with single minded focus to complete the rewrite and tweaking of my book.
Those spare hours in between are spent working, running, sleeping, and relaxing with the odd glass of wine.
In reassigning my focus, my blog has stagnated. It’s not because I’m no longer into the blog lovin’, it’s simply that…at the moment my time is poured into the direction of finishing of my book.
By consciously making this change, I’m noticing an interesting shift in my default setting. The gears are switching from “generalist”; all things to all people, to “specific.”
Otherwise the distraction of other stuff hinders the work I need to invest to turn my dream of being a successful writer into a reality.
If I don’t make the time, who will?
